There is now a break out of H1N1 in many countries. This can really affect your vacation planning because you might get the virus – so instead of having a relaxing and enjoying vacation, you might contract the H1N1 virus and complicate the situation. So if it cannot be avoided because you already set a schedule for a get-away dates, then maybe (1) it is better if you first get a flu shot before going; (2) choose an all inclusive resort like the Runaway Bay Jamaica, and similar Bahamas resorts; (3) bring your face mask and flu medicine just in case you get the virus while having a vacation, (4) most importantly update/upgrade you medical insurance.

What are the symptoms of the flu virus?

Symptoms of H1N1 flu virus in people are: fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Others also have reported diarrhea and vomiting.

If you get these symptoms and you think you have the flu, go to the nearest hospital.
